Clinical study of upper one third leg defects

Large soft tissue leg defect involving upper and middle third remains a therapeutic challenge. Clinical study of management one defects was done to analyze the various reconstructive procedures for also enhance quality work produce good results with minimal complications as possible. This Prospective conducted in department Plastic Reconstructive surgery, includes 20 cases admitted. Patients >15years age Soft-tissue requiring flap cover are included this study. The operative procedure chosen according nature size defect. earliest given within 1 week trauma. Primary 10 (50%)patients, delayed primary 9 (45%) patients secondary (5%) patient. In 14 (70%) Gastrocnemius flaps were done, which muscle SSG Myocutaneous 5 (25%). Fasciocutaneous Flaps 4 (20%), Venous patient Advancement Flap done.
